When we talk about the beach, it will be an endless conversation. I am on of those person who LOVES beaches, I even plan to have a house on the beach side for my retirement. For this article, I will be suggesting which Southeast Asia beach holiday is on top of my list. As we all know Southeast Asia, known for its stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage, is also home to some of the best beach destinations in the world. Here are our top five picks for an unforgettable beach holiday.

  1. Bali, Indonesia

This is top of my list, Bali is a paradise for beach lovers. From the popular Kuta Beach to the tranquil sands of Nusa Dua, there’s something for everyone. I travel to Bali at least once a year, Bali offers one of the best beaches in SEA. Bali is also filled with beautiful landscapes, scenery, and historical and religious monuments. Ensure you follow local customs and respect religious sites. The food is a gastronomic delight, offering a blend of Indonesian cuisines. A must-try from their street food is their grilled corn with BBQ sauce, its just yummy. Lets not forget that Bali’s nightlife is vibrant with beach clubs and the bars open till late. A must go is Motel Mexicola, this place jam packed with people and they played really good music.

  1. Phuket, Thailand

Thailand has a lot of nice and beautiful islands but for this one, I’ll choose Phuket. Phuket is Thailand’s largest island and a popular beach destination. Patong Beach is famous for its nightlife, while Kata Noi is perfect for relaxation. Street food is a must-try, with local dishes like Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup. Take a stroll down along the beach of Patong and if you have time do catch the sunrise or the sunset. Thailand is generally safe, but do be mindful of your belongings. It’s easier to travel around Phuket if you know how to ride a motorbike cause the location from one end to one end is not that far.

  1. Boracay, Philippines

Another gem destination for a beachgoer, who doesnt know Boracay? Boracay is a small island known for its white sand beaches and clear waters. There are a lot activities that you can do when you are in Boracay one of them is island hopping, submerging yourself and experiencing a hot Kawa bath. Or if you are up for extreme activities maybe you can opt for cliff jumping or zipline adventure. The nightlife is lively with fire-dancing shows and live music. Local food is a mix of Malay, Spanish, Chinese, and American influences. With the recent rehabilitation efforts, Boracay has become a model for sustainable tourism.

  1. Sabah, Malaysia

Do you see what I did there? I said SABAH, Malaysia. Sabah is well known for its beautiful islands, not one, not two but a lot. Beyond the mighty jungles and towering peaks of Borneo, Sabah whispers secrets of crystal-clear waters and sun-kissed shores. Its coastline explodes with a kaleidoscope of vibrant islands and serene stretches of sand, each promising an unforgettable beach escape. Just to name a few of the islands, Sapi , Manukan, any of island that is in Semporna  and also Dalit. These is just a few to name from the total of 887 islands that are available in Sabah. When you visit Sabah, beach hopping can be your top activity since there are various options, ranging from free entry spots to isolated islands that may require additional spending.
